What does Fellowship Training mean?

Being Fellowship-trained in physical therapy means that a licensed physical therapist has completed advanced, post-graduate training in a specialized area of practice. This training goes beyond a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree and residency, providing in-depth mentorship, clinical expertise, and research-based education in a specific domain of physical therapy.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT) is a prestigious designation awarded to those who complete an accredited fellowship in orthopedic manual therapy. Fellowship-trained PTs are recognized for their advanced clinical reasoning, hands-on treatment skills, and ability to manage complex cases.

Why Manual Therapy?

Hands-on Approach

Manual therapy technique - foot/ankle

Many of our clients are already active and many times exercise alone will not address the issue. Manual therapy can facilitate proper joint motion so that exercises can be more accurate and effective.

Advanced Specific Techniques

Through our Manual Orthopedic Fellowship training, we are equipped with the latest research on advanced manual techniques that allow us to be as segment specific as possible. General manipulations and mobilizations are often not enough to address distinct underlying joint dysfunction

Manual therapy technique - cervical

Faster Treatment Results

Manual therapy technique - lumbar

Joint mobilization/manipulations not only address mechanical issues, but also provides physiological effects to your nervous system, which can decrease pain and improve function immediately.
