Orthopedic Rehab

ROOT REHAB - SPORTS PHYSICAL THERAPY

Spinal stabilization exercise

Spine Care

Back and neck pain can be complicated as the spine is a complex structure composed of 33 vertebrae, each with unique properties. These vertebrae rely not only on one another but also on surrounding structures to stabilize the body through various positions. Dysfunction in the pelvic girdle or lumbar spine can lead to improper load transfer to the lower extremities. Similarly, the cervical spine resists gravity throughout the day. Repetitive movements outside the body’s natural patterns can create excessive stress, potentially leading to pain.

Achilles tendon training

Tendon Rehab

Different Tissue, Different Treatment. Tendons endure heavy loading with little rest, often without clear warning signs of overuse. As their energy supply diminishes, the body may compensate biomechanically, increasing stress on the tendon and surrounding structures. While rest can help reduce pain, it does not facilitate true healing. Without a proper loading program and targeted treatment, the tendon may continue to cause pain and dysfunction.

Overhead shoulder exercise

Extremity Care

Sometimes our injuries seem to come out of nowhere like 'shoulder pain from sleeping' or 'knee pain from walking'. Our arms and legs are mobile segments connected to a stable spine. Like any mechanical system, each component depends on the others—when one segment moves improperly, it can create stress or alter movement patterns. Stability is essential, but so is the ability to properly disassociate movement throughout the body. This balance allows for smooth, pain-free motion.
